Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse displays the Barbadian coat of arms at center, featuring the golden shield of arms flanked by a dolphin to the left and a brown pelican to the right, both serving as supporters symbolic of the nation's fishing industry and Pelican Island respectively. Two Pride of Barbados flowers and the Bearded Fig tree adorn the shield, surmounted by a closed helmet with mantling. A crest above depicts an arm and hand holding two crossed stalks of sugar cane, alluding to the island's historic sugar industry. The encircling legend reads BARBADOS PRIDE AND INDUSTRY, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR and the fineness notation 1 OZ Ag 999 inscribed in the field.

Aanvullende informatie

Barbados has issued silver bullion coinage under the "Trident" series since 1997, with the seahorse motif recurring across multiple denominations as one of the more commercially successful designs in the program. The 2022 issue continues that run under the authority of the Central Bank, which manages the country's numismatic output in coordination with foreign minting partners — Barbados has no domestic mint of its own.
