| Beschrijving voorzijde | A swan in full flight is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, with wings spread and neck extended horizontally to the left, rendered with fine feather detail. The legend AUSTRALIA appears in incuse capital letters across the lower central field. Below the legend, a Tudor-style crown is prominently displayed in the lower centre, flanked by open field to either side. The date 1967 appears below the crown along the lower rim, completing the design. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Swan Pattern Dollar of 1967 was a proposed Australian decimal coin that never entered circulation — the design was rejected in favor of what became the standard issue. Chinese counterfeit copies, almost certainly produced for the tourist and novelty trade rather than deceptive circulation, began appearing in quantity decades later and are now common enough that examples surface regularly at general auction. The giveaway is almost always the weight tolerance, which drifts noticeably from the original specification.
