Trial strikes from the Czechoslovak State Mint in the interwar period were produced primarily for internal review and submission to the Ministry of Finance, rarely leaving official hands. This copper-nickel example almost certainly represents a composition test — the ducat denomination was traditionally struck in gold, and a base-metal trial of this type would have served to evaluate die quality and relief detail before committing to precious-metal production runs.
The Pn10 designation confirms its status as a pattern rather than a circulating or approved issue. Very few examples are documented.
