| Reverse description | The reverse of this bimetallic fantasy trial piece features the common European allegorical design used on many euro trial and fantasy issues: a seated female figure, draped in classical robes and facing left, occupies the left portion of the inner disc against a background of radiating lines suggestive of the euro symbol's stylized design. The large numeral 1 dominates the right side of the inner disc. The word SPECIMEN appears in the exergue of the inner disc. Twelve stars, symbolic of the European Union, are arranged around the outer ring of the coin. |
