| Obverse description | Central field depicts the Serbian state coat of arms featuring a double-headed eagle surmounted by a royal crown, with the Serbian cross and four firesteels (ocila) emblazoned on a shield at the centre of the eagle's breast. The design is encircled by an inner legend reading PROVE PROVA PROBE TEST ESSAI and an outer ring of twelve five-pointed stars evenly spaced around the rim, evoking the European Union motif. The issuer name SERBIA appears in relief along the upper rim and the date 2005 is inscribed along the lower rim. |

Serbia struck euro cent patterns in 2005 as part of its preparatory work toward eventual EU accession and eurozone entry — neither of which has materialized as of this writing. These were never legal tender and never entered circulation. The Mandić reference catalogues them as euro patterns rather than circulation issues, and they remain collectibles by that classification alone.
