Obverse lettering DANZICA / PROVE FROM PROBE TEST ESSAI / 2005
Reverse description The reverse presents a large stylised numeral '1' overlaid on a globe rendered with horizontal ruling lines, adapted from the standard Euro cent reverse design. The denomination legend 'CENT' appears to the upper right of the numeral. A small shield bearing a cross — referencing the arms of Danzig — is positioned in the lower central field, accompanied by a sceptre or sword device to its right. Twelve five-pointed stars punctuate the inner border on both sides, consistent with the European Union iconography used on Euro coinage. An arc inscription reading 'PROVE FROM PROBE TEST ESSAI' runs along the upper inner border.
