| Obverse description | Stylized castle with two prominent flanking towers and a central star or rosette device above the battlements, all rendered in a bold, archaic manner characteristic of late medieval Adriatic civic coinage. The castle structure occupies the central field, with crenellated walls visible between the towers. A peripheral legend in uncial Latin script encircles the design, reading SCVTAREŊSIS, referencing the city of Shkodër (Scutari).
