| Obverse description | Green letterpress print on pale paper, with a stippled background throughout. The central oval cartouche carries the large denomination text "UN FRANC" above the Arabic equivalent, flanked by two circular municipal seals — that of Bougie to the left and Sétif to the right — each surrounded by a guilloche border. The town names "BOUGIE" and "SÉTIF" run vertically along the outer left and right margins respectively, with corner squares bearing the numeral "1"; two manuscript signatures appear below the seal vignettes above the printed series and serial number. |
