Additional information

The Netherlands West Indies gulden of this period was struck under the authority of the Dutch West India Company in its final, desperate years — the Company was formally dissolved in 1791, leaving Caribbean colonial administration in the hands of the Dutch state just as revolutionary France was dismantling the old Atlantic order. Curaçao fell to the British in 1807, and coins from this transitional period circulated under at least three different flags before finally being demonetized.

The multiple reference numbers reflect genuine cataloging disagreement over die pairings and issue sequence, not mere duplication.
