| 备注 |
The Netherlands East Indies P#1 is among the earliest colonial paper issues for the region, appearing at a moment when the Dutch had just recovered their colonial possessions from British administration following the 1814 Convention of London. The VOC was long dissolved, and the new colonial government was finding its footing — this 1 Gulden note was part of an expedient attempt to create a functioning local currency where hard coin was chronically scarce.
Documentation on the printer and exact issuance details remains sparse. Surviving examples are genuinely rare, and the 1815 date places every known specimen at over two centuries old.
