| Obverse description | Yellow-brown note with an allover geometric guilloche underprint in orange-brown tones forming a diamond lattice pattern across the entire field. The large bold numeral '1' appears as a central watermark-style underprint, overlaid by the primary text in black letterpress giving the note's title 'ZILVERBON' and denomination 'Groot ÉÉN GULDEN' in descending type sizes. The series number 'Serie 48' is printed in the upper right corner, with legal and redemption texts, date of 7 Augustus 1914, and two manuscript signatures of the Agent of the Ministry of Finance and the Minister of Finance occupying the lower portion of the note. |
