| Obverse description | The central field features the Rwandan national coat of arms within a circular border, depicting a traditional conical hut flanked by a sorghum plant to the left and a coffee branch to the right, surmounted by a sun above and supported by a knotted rope below. A scroll at the top of the shield bears the legend REPUBLIKA Y'U RWANDA, while a lower scroll reads UBUMWE UMURIMO GUKUNDA IGIHUGU (Unity, Work, Patriotism).
