This note was not issued by any successor state — it is an Austro-Hungarian Bank 1 Korona overprinted by Hungary following the dissolution of the Dual Monarchy after the First World War. Hungary applied its own stamp to circulating Austro-Hungarian currency as a stopgap measure while a new national currency framework was established, effectively nationalizing notes already in public hands rather than printing fresh stock.
Pick 10 is the Hungarian-stamped variant; the base note predates it by years. The overprint itself is the entire historical event compressed into ink on paper.
