Obverse description At center, the Slovak national arms — a heraldic shield depicting a patriarchal double-barred cross rising from a triple-peaked mountain — enclosed within a raised inner circle. The circumscribed legend SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals, while the four-digit date appears in the lower field between two decorative dot separators. The coin's border is defined by a continuous milled or beaded rim that frames the entire design.

Reverse description The large numeral '1' dominates the upper field, with the currency abbreviation 'Ks' (Koruna slovenská) immediately below, together forming the denomination. Flanking the denomination on either side is a symmetrical spray of two upright wheat ears curving outward, accompanied by broad decorative leaves tied at the base with a ribbon, evoking an agricultural motif. The engraver's initials 'KP' appear discreetly in the lower exergue beneath the tied sheaf. A continuous beaded border encircles the entire reverse design.
