| Opmerkingen |
The Danish Brigade notes were issued for use by Danish military personnel stationed in Germany during the Allied occupation period — a controlled scrip system designed to keep Danish soldiers from spending Danish kroner in the occupied German economy. The 1 Krone was the smallest denomination in the series, and the notes saw genuinely hard use: replacement cycles were frequent, and surviving examples in decent condition are considerably less common than the higher denominations.
Havning was a prolific designer at the Nationalbank's printing works, responsible for several Danish banknote series of the mid-century period.
