Obverse description Elongated, rod-shaped hammered silver larin with a coiled or folded wire form tapering at both ends. The flat, irregularly surfaced field bears Arabic legends arranged longitudinally along the length of the coin, characteristic of the larin type produced in the Persian Gulf region. The inscription is struck in a cursive Arabic script with individual characters distributed across the available surface, typical of the hammered coinage of the Qalhati emirate under Farrukhshah.
