| 裏面の説明 | The denomination numeral '1' is prominently displayed in the upper centre of the field, with the inscription LİRA positioned immediately below in bold Latin lettering. The central device is framed by a wreath of two olive branches, their stems tied at the base with a decorative ribbon bow, the leafy sprays curving upward symmetrically to either side. The field is otherwise plain, and the design is contained within a reeded inner border consistent with the obverse. |

Turkey's postwar monetary position was precarious enough by the mid-1940s that the government had already debased its lira coinage significantly from prewar standards. This issue's .600 fine silver content reflects that compromise — wartime Turkey had pursued a financially ruinous policy of currency emission to fund neutrality-era military mobilization, and the National Protection Law of 1940 had generated enough economic distortion that a return to high-silver coinage was simply not viable. The two-year run ended as inflationary pressure made even this alloy uneconomical.
