| Obverse description | Blue-grey note with an intricate geometric guilloche pattern forming the overall background and border. At centre, the denomination UNE LIVRE is inscribed within a lozenge-shaped cartouche flanked by Arabic numeral vignettes; the bank title BANQUE DE SYRIE ET DU LIBAN is lettered across the top in a banner, with the issue date BEYROUTH LE 1ER AOÛT 1942 below.
