| Opis awersu | Crude hammered copper flan of irregular round form. The central design features a stylized crescent or arch motif composed of concentric curved lines, with a small dot or pellet at the center of the arc. Above the crescent, a square or rectangular cartouche is rendered in relief, also containing a central pellet. Additional small circular elements appear at the right and lower right of the field, characteristic of the rough, primitive engraving style associated with early nineteenth-century Meccan coinage. The entire design is struck with uneven pressure, resulting in areas of weakness typical of hammered issues. |
