Obverse description Central field dominated by a applied counterstamp consisting of a crowned shield bearing the Hildesheim city arms — a stepped gable or rose device — punched over the host coin. The counterstamp is surrounded by the partially visible legend of the underlying host coin, rendered in Gothic lettering around the periphery. The surface shows typical characteristics of a hammered flan with uneven strike and natural wear consistent with circulation.

Reverse description Standing frontal figure of the Virgin Mary (Maria) robed and crowned, with hands raised in an orante or blessing posture, set within a circular legend in Gothic Latin script around the periphery. To the left and right, decorative foliate or feather-like border elements frame the central effigy. The reverse displays the characteristic Mariengroschen type of Lower Saxony, with the Marian figure as the primary design element, typical of the late medieval and early modern hammered coinage of the Hildesheim region.
