Opmerkingen

This is a novelty item, not a banknote. The United States has never issued a one million dollar denomination in any form — the largest denomination ever legally tendered was the $100,000 Gold Certificate of 1934, which was used exclusively for interbank transfers and never circulated publicly. Notes like this one are mass-produced fantasy pieces, sold as gifts or curiosities, with no legal tender status and no issuing authority behind the "United States" designation printed on them.

Collectors occasionally encounter these in mixed lots alongside genuine small-size U.S. currency. Worth noting for identification purposes only.
