Aanvullende informatie

Mongolia's 1945 coinage was produced under the Mongolian People's Republic at a time when the country functioned essentially as a Soviet satellite, with economic and monetary policy dictated largely from Moscow. The aluminium bronze composition mirrors Soviet small-denomination practice of the period almost exactly — a material choice that was not coincidental.

KM#15 replaced the earlier bronze möngö series introduced in 1937, the reformulation coming as wartime metal demands reshaped coinage specifications across the Soviet sphere.
