Denmark's 1941 bronze coinage was struck under German occupation, which began in April 1940. The Danes managed to maintain a functioning domestic administration for several years under occupation, and the Royal Danish Mint continued producing coins in the king's name — a deliberate act of institutional continuity that the Germans largely tolerated as part of their "model protectorate" arrangement with Copenhagen.
The .2 variety designation in KM#826.2 reflects a reverse die modification introduced in 1941.
