| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bearing a dense Arabic calligraphic inscription within a geometrically subdivided inner circle, referencing the mint name and regnal year. The legend reads '8 Tripoli West' (٨ طرابلس غرب), with the numeral 8 indicating the year of reign. A prominent ornamental border of leaf or tongue-shaped devices encircles the central design, consistent with other Ottoman provincial copper paras of this period. The flan is irregular and the strike characteristically uneven, reflecting the hammered technique employed at the Tripoli mint. The reverse composition mirrors the obverse in its bold, provincial calligraphic style. |
