| Reverse description | A schematic crowned royal bust facing left occupies the upper portion of the field, rendered in a crude but characteristic Viking-Age style with simplified facial features and a diademed or crowned head. Below the bust, a prominent double-lined cross divides the field into four quadrants, each containing a rounded segment in the manner of a voided cross design. The surrounding border shows traces of a legend, now largely illegible due to the irregular flan and worn surfaces. The entire design reflects the strong Anglo-Saxon numismatic influence prevalent in Norwegian coinage of the reign of Olav Kyrre. |
