| 正面描述 | A bold cross with short, thick wedge-shaped arms radiating from the center, with the Gothic initial C prominently placed at the crossing point. The design is deeply struck in low relief with broad, tapering arm terminals characteristic of early 14th-century Danish hammered coinage. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with no surrounding legend or inscription. The field is plain beyond the cross motif. |

Christopher II's reign was among the most politically fractured in Danish history — he was deposed twice, and for a period Denmark effectively ceased to exist as a functioning kingdom, its territories pawned off to German creditors. These small silver pennings were struck during his first or second reign, and the monetary system he presided over was already collapsing under the weight of noble debt and foreign encroachment. By 1332, no king ruled Denmark at all for eight years.
