| Obverse description | Degraded effigy of a ruler facing left, rendered in a highly stylised, degenerate Hiberno-Norse artistic manner derived from Anglo-Saxon prototypes. The bust displays schematic drapery and a rudimentary crown or diadem, with facial features reduced to abstracted forms characteristic of late Hiberno-Norse die-cutting. A degenerate legend, largely illegible, encircles the effigy in the field. |

| Reverse description | A small, compact cross occupies the centre of the field, enclosed within a raised inner circle or ring. A degenerate and largely illegible legend in debased Latin letterforms surrounds the inner circle, with the overall design reflecting the declining die-engraving standards typical of late Hiberno-Norse coinage from Dublin. The flat, worn relief of the cross and concentric border arrangement are characteristic of the Anonymous Small Cross type. |
