备注	Albesa is a small municipality in the Lleida province of Catalonia. Like hundreds of other Catalan and Valencian towns, its municipal council — operating under joint UGT-CNT control during the anarcho-syndicalist period of the Spanish Civil War — issued emergency fractional currency to address the near-total collapse of metallic coinage in circulation after July 1936. These local emissions were technically unauthorized under Republican monetary law but were tolerated out of necessity. At 48 × 30 mm, this is among the smallest paper currency formats produced anywhere in the conflict. The thick card stock was a practical choice — tiny paper notes disintegrated rapidly in daily use.
