La Fuliola is a small municipality in the Urgell comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of similarly sized towns, it issued emergency paper currency during the Spanish Civil War after the Republic's decree of May 1937 authorized local authorities to produce small-denomination notes to address the near-total disappearance of metallic coinage from circulation. These municipal issues — collectively known as "guerra civil locals" — were produced under widely varying conditions, often printed by local presses with limited typographic resources.
Turró catalogues this as a straightforward single-type issue, with no known variants reported.
