| 表面の説明 | The obverse carries the bold heading BANCO DEL ECUADOR at top centre, with a central vignette of a steam locomotive in motion, flanked left by an allegorical harbour scene with figures and sailing ships, and right by a seated female figure in classical dress. Numeral 1 counters appear in each corner within ornate guilloche frames, and the serial number is printed in red. The lower portion bears the place and date inscription GUAYAQUIL, ENERO 2 DE 1874, with two manuscript signatures below. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in a single olive-brown tone and displays the inscriptions BANCO DEL and ECUADOR at top and bottom respectively, with a large central ornamental design composed of interlocking guilloche rosettes and lathe-work surrounding a bold numeral 1 counter. Two blank oval medallion panels are positioned symmetrically to the left and right of the central motif, intended for overprints. A circular stamp impression of the Republica del Ecuador Ministerio de Hacienda is visible at the lower right. The entire composition is framed by a continuous meander border. |
