| Obverse description | Brown-tinted note with the bank title 'EL BANCO PROVINCIAL DE TUCUMAN' across the upper portion, flanked by a large numeral '1' guilloche cartouche at upper left and right. A vignette at the left depicts a classical architectural portal, while a portrait of a bearded gentleman in formal attire occupies the right side. The centre bears the denomination 'UN PESO' in bold lettering with a series number, date 'TUCUMAN 1º DE MARZO 1888', and a reference to the monetary law of 5 November 1881, with two manuscript signatures below for the Gerente and Presidente. |
