The "Burro autóctono" — the native Cuban donkey — was part of Cuba's ongoing FAUNA series issued for collector markets rather than circulation. These pieces moved almost exclusively through the island's dual-currency system, sold in convertible pesos to tourists and foreign buyers while ordinary Cubans transacted in a separate currency entirely.
