Reverse description Central device features a stylized depiction of the ceibo flower (Erythrina crista-galli), the national flower of Uruguay, shown in profile with prominent curved petals rendered in bold relief. The large numeral 1 appears to the left of the floral motif in the central field, with the denomination legend PESO inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is clean and modern, characteristic of mid-twentieth-century pattern coinage produced at the Casa de Moneda de Chile.
