| 正面描述 | Crowned and draped bust of King George V facing left, wearing Imperial State Crown and ermine-trimmed robes, engraved in high relief after the effigy by Sir Bertram Mackennal. The legend GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR curves around the periphery, following the scalloped contour of the flan. The portrait renders fine detail in the king's beard, facial features, and elaborate regalia. No date appears on the obverse. |

Cyprus in 1934 was a Crown Colony still simmering from the 1931 riots, during which Cypriots demanding enosis — union with Greece — burned down Government House in Nicosia. The colonial administration responded by suspending the Legislative Council entirely and ruling by decree. Coins issued in the years immediately following carry no particular rarity premium from suppressed mintage, but they circulate within a period of unusually direct imperial control, the elected assembly not restored until 1948.
