Obverse description The right side of the note carries an oval portrait of King George V in right profile, while a circular vignette of the Royal Arms of Australia appears to the left. The centre is dominated by a large ornate guilloche underprint with the denomination ONE POUND in bold letterpress, with numeral "1" counters at each corner. The entire face is executed in green tones and framed by fine lathe-work borders.
