| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in dark green on white paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative guilloche border enclosing a central vignette of St. Mary's Church, Jersey, flanked by heraldic shield vignettes — the Jersey arms to the left and a lion passant to the right — each accompanied by the numeral '1'. The issuer's title 'ST. MARY'S PAROCHIAL BANK' runs in a curved banner at the top, while a bold letterpress overprint 'BRITISH' crosses the centre of the note and the word 'ONE' appears in a boxed panel at lower left. The promise-to-pay text and authorisation reference to the States of Jersey appear in the body of the note, with the signatures of the Procureurs du Bien Public and the Constable of St. Mary's at the foot. |
