Additional information

Stroma is a genuinely uninhabited island off the northern tip of Caithness — the last permanent resident left in 1962 — which makes its periodic appearance as a coin-issuing "authority" a purely commercial fiction with no administrative basis whatsoever. The "Abyssin" denomination exists nowhere in any monetary history; it was coined, literally, for this purpose.
