Kibbutz scrip of this type circulated exclusively within the issuing settlement's internal economy — members drew against their labor allocation and spent within the kibbutz's own shops and services, with no external monetary validity whatsoever. Dalia, founded in 1939 in the Menashe Hills, was among the kibbutzim that formalized this internal exchange system in the pre-state period, when the practical and ideological case for insulating members from outside commercial life remained strong.

The perforated edges are a cancellation or control feature, not decorative — almost certainly applied to invalidated notes or those redeemed at period's end.
