This is not a circulating banknote. The "Rocher d'Aphrodite" pound is a privately designed fantasy or novelty piece — Cyprus adopted the euro in January 2008, permanently retiring the Cyprus pound, and has issued no pound-denominated notes since. No central bank authorization exists for this item.
Matej Gabris is a Slovak graphic designer known for producing elaborate fantasy notes under the "polymer" and collector novelty market. The pieces are sometimes mistaken for genuine issues by newer collectors, which is the only reason a catalog entry is warranted.
