| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborately rendered tughra of Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud, executed in flowing calligraphic strokes with a prominent vertical finial rising from the monogram. To the upper right of the tughra, a small Arabic inscription appears in the field. Below the tughra, a curved Arabic legend in two lines reads the ruler's name and full royal title, identifying him as King of the Hejaz, Nejd, and its Dependencies. The design is set against a deeply mirrored, polished field consistent with proof or pattern striking. |
