Obverse description Draped bust of Julius Caesar Gonzaga facing right, rendered in low relief within an irregularly struck flan. The effigy displays period Renaissance portraiture style with curled hair. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading IVL • CAES • PRIN • BOZZOL •, identifying the ruler as Julius Caesar, Prince of Bozzolo. The field shows characteristic patination and surface irregularities consistent with hammered billon coinage of the late sixteenth century.

Reverse description Ornate crowned Gonzaga coat of arms at centre, featuring an elaborate starburst or sun device flanked by decorative scrollwork and acanthus-like flourishes, with a crescent device visible at the lower portion of the shield. The heraldic composition is surmounted by a princely crown. The abbreviated Latin legend ME • DVCAT appears in the field, a pious or dynastic motto. The overall design is boldly struck and occupies the majority of the flan, consistent with Italian Renaissance civic coinage.
