Opmerkingen

Guatemala's relationship with Thomas De La Rue stretched across most of the twentieth century, and this series reflects the printer's standard commercial security work of the period — functional, competent, and built around the cotton substrate that De La Rue favored for tropical climates where humidity accelerates paper degradation. The ten-year span of issue (1962–1972) is notable: Guatemala cycled through political instability and military governments throughout this period, yet the note design remained unchanged, suggesting deliberate monetary conservatism from the Banco de Guatemala.

The watermark is the sole listed security feature, which was not unusual for low-denomination De La Rue work of this era.
