Reverse description Plain, flat reverse field displaying five raised globules arranged in the quincunx pattern — one in each corner and one centrally offset — serving as the denomination mark indicating five unciae. A raised ridge or casting seam runs vertically through the centre of the flan, a typical feature of cast aes grave production. The surface is rough and granular, consistent with sand-casting techniques employed at Ariminum in the mid-Republican period. No legend or additional decorative device is present.
