| Obverse description | Central device depicts a fasces with a Phrygian cap at its apex, flanked on either side by a cornucopia overflowing with produce, all enclosed within a wreath of laurel and grain. The circular legend around the periphery reads ECUADOR EN COLOMBIA, with the mint name QUITO inscribed in the lower field. The overall design reflects the republican symbolism of the Gran Colombia era, rendered in a bold, slightly primitive provincial style. |
