| Opmerkingen |
Metallwerke Holleischen GmbH was a forced labor munitions factory operating within the Holýšov subcamp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp complex in occupied Czechoslovakia. These scrip notes were issued as internal camp currency — prisoners received them as nominal "payment" for armaments work, redeemable only at the camp canteen for a handful of permitted goods. The system created a paper fiction of wages while ensuring nothing of real value could be accumulated or transferred.
Survivors of Holleischen are documented. The scrip is not rare because it was carefully preserved — it survives because it was largely worthless even on its own terms.
