| 备注 |
Azerbaijan's Soviet-era transition produced some of the most chaotic monetary conditions in the Caucasus. This rouble-denominated issue dates to 1920, the year Soviet forces entered Baku in April and the short-lived Azerbaijan Democratic Republic collapsed after less than two years of independence. Notes issued under the Republic during this period were rapidly demonetized as Bolshevik administrative authority took hold.
The denomination in roubles rather than the later manat reflects the provisional monetary framework still tied to Russian imperial and Kerensky-era conventions. Pick 8 is among the least documented of the 1920 Azerbaijan issues, and surviving specimens are infrequently offered.
