Obverse description Central field features an ornate tughra-style calligraphic device in Arabic script, rendered in high relief within a plain inner circle. The circular legend GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN appears in raised Latin letters around the periphery, separated at the base by a small five-pointed star. The coin is struck with a beaded border running along the outer rim.

Reverse description Central device depicts a large crescent moon and five-pointed star, the national emblem of Pakistan, in bold relief. Above the crescent, the denomination is inscribed in Arabic script reading 'Rupee' in a curved legend. The date appears on both sides of the crescent: in Arabic-Indic numerals to the left (1947) and in Western Arabic numerals to the right (1947). The legend ONE RUPEE is inscribed in raised Latin letters along the lower periphery, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
