| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a rectangular cartouche bearing a three-line Persian legend in hammered Naskh script, identifying the mint city of Lahore and the regnal year. The upper line reads 'Tir' (the month), the middle line reads 'Zarb Lahore' (struck at Lahore), and the lower line records the Ilahi regnal year 48. The cartouche is surrounded by a decorative border of diagonal foliate and interlaced motifs consistent with the obverse treatment. The strike is typical of Mughal hammered rupees of the Lahore mint, with bold lettering and an irregular but generally round flan. |
