| Obverse description | The obverse is an overprinted Government of India 1 Rupee note, with 'GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN' in English and Urdu (حکومت پاکستان) overprinted in black at the left, applied over the original guilloche underprint ground. At upper centre, the legend 'GOVERNMENT OF INDIA / ONE RUPEE' appears in letterpress, with a large numeral '1' vignette below centre, while at right a circular vignette carries the portrait of Emperor George VI in profile, surrounded by the legend 'KING EMPEROR'.
