| 备注 |
Indonesia's first currency series, the ORI (Oeang Republik Indonesia), launched on 30 October 1946 — not 1945, despite the date printed on the notes. The Republican government pre-dated the series to assert sovereignty from the moment of the August 1945 independence proclamation, a deliberate political statement made while Dutch forces were actively contesting control of the archipelago.
The 1 Sen was the lowest denomination in the ORI I series and had negligible purchasing power almost immediately. Printed under difficult wartime conditions with limited materials, the series is known for inconsistent ink saturation across surviving examples.
